Constantinos Joachim was born
in Bellapais, Cyprus, 1936

Studied Art at Bath Academy
of Art, UK, specialising in painting, sculpture and visual perception.

Post Graduate Diploma in painting,
aesthetics and history of art, in London.

Joachim established his own
Bellapais Studio & Gallery in Bellapais, Cyprus, where he worked and
exhibited until 1974 when forced to leave.

He has shown paintings abroad
at the Europa Galleries of Berlin and Munich, and Lambert Galleries in
Los Angeles.

He has represented Cyprus at
the 34th International Biennale of Venice 1968

Since his first one man exhibition
at the Cyprus Hilton in 1968, Joachim has held nineteen exhibitons to date.
His latest is from 7th December to 12th December at the Cyprus Hilton Hotel
Gallery Nicosia.

Joachim¢s swirling fluid paintings,
on large canvasses, based on mythological and archaeological themes, blend
the abstract with the figurative in a highly individual manner, with their
references to the rich civilisation and ancient glory embedded in the earth
and coastal waters of Cyprus and the Mediterranean.

Joachim is one of the longest
established artists of Painting in Cyprus who started exhibiting with the
old school of artists before 1960.
